The Gurupurshotam Project

The Gurupurshotam Project was born out of a deep calling to make Sikh history and spiritual wisdom more accessible to the world. While studying under the guidance of Sant Giani Sher Singh ji (Ambala), I was entrusted with the sacred seva of translating Sri Gurpartap Sooraj Prakash Granth into English. This work was not simply about language — it was about bringing the timeless stories and teachings of our Gurus into a context that resonates with seekers today.

Growing up, I had the blessing of Sangat with great teachers who nurtured my love for Gurbani, Santhya, Shastar Vidya, and Brahm Vidya. I realized that many in my generation — and especially the younger Sikh diaspora — felt distanced from these treasures due to language barriers and the sheer vastness of our Granths. The Gurupurshotam Project began as a bridge: a way to connect modern minds with the eternal light of Guru ji’s wisdom.

Through this project, I aim to:

• Translate and explain Sikh texts in clear, accessible English, while staying faithful to the spirit of the original.

• Preserve and share Sikh history, especially the inspiring narratives of the Sri Gurpartap Sooraj Prakash Granth and Sri Guru Panth Parkash.

• Create a resource for future generations, so that seekers across the world — regardless of language — can draw strength, wisdom, and guidance from Gurbani and Sikh Itihaas.

The Gurupurshotam Project is not just a translation effort. It is a living journey — an offering of seva to the Guru and to the Panth. My hope is that through this work, more people will discover the depth, beauty, and universality of Sikhi, and find in them the strength to live lives of truth, courage, and compassion.
